CARBOLITE Bullnose Awnings. The classical bullnose awning is our most popular model. Made from sleek 8mm twin walled polycarbonate sheeting, framed with aluminium extrusions, the awning comes fully assembled ready for a simple installation. The awnings can be installed off both fascias and walls which makes this awning so adaptable to all conditions. The awnings can be placed over windows and doors ensuring protection from both wind, rain and sun. The design is based around a rear receiving channel. Once this channel is mounted to the fixing point, the awning clips into position. Then attach the arms using the CARBOLITE arm brackets and you have installed the awning.(see installation guide). The awning has been tested to suit Australian Standards for wind so rest assured, they are built to last. CHOICE OF SHEETS When choosing sheets, it is important to work out what you want the awning to achieve. If it is to block light out, choose a solar colour. If you need maximum light, choose and an ambient light, bronze or grey. Remember they all are waterproof. | Sheet Colour | Light Transmission | Heat Reflection | | Clear | 86% | 72% | | Grey | 42% | 45% | | Bronze | 42% | 45% | | Solar Metal | 25% | 28% | | Solar Ice | 20% | 25% | CHOICE OF FRAME COLOURS You get the choice of 4 colours to choose from.Satin Black, Pearl White,Bronzed Anodised, Primrose. ADVANTAGES When choosing a bullnose window awning, you need only 65mm fixing point at the rear to attach the weather bar. The screws need to every 600mm (approx) which is no problem for brick/concrete and this works in well with timber framed houses. The arms can also be attached anywhere on the front rail so they can line up with your fixing points. Our arm system allows fixing off both fascia and wall. The pivoting bracket means you simply cut the arm to the correct length. No need for mitres or compound cuts. The other advantage of the arm system is the arm can be fixed anywhere along the front rail. This allows greater flexibility when either studs are not in line or there is an obstruction on the wall. Thy are incredibly light for their size and the system allows one person only to install. |
